Was really proud to go back to my butch do-it-yourself roots and flush out our sewage line. It only took two trips to the hardware store: once for the crowbar to get to the main line, and again for the hose attachment to seal and flush the system. Within 20 mins. of having the right equipment, the entire house’s full blockage was gone.

I’m sure it was amusing to see me run around the house, waiting for the tell-tale gurgle and running outside to turn off the tap, running to the manhole to check the results, and trotting back into the house to see that yes, we’re clear.

Now, to set up the anti-raccoon measures per Gen to prevent another Nana killing: a light in the attic and NPR (raccoons don’t like people talking all the time). :)
